Each interaction begins with a free marketing consultation. Whether you’d like to meet in-person, through screen share, or on the phone, you’ll begin by having a conversation with our lead Marketing Consultant and Change Agency Marketing Founder, Maria.
We’ll chat for a few minutes initially to establish rapport and set up an official date and time for us to meet at your convenience.
In our consultation, we want to learn about you, your business, and your goals. No dreams are too big, and you don’t have to have everything sorted out. It’s important for us to meet you where you’re at and see if we’re a good fit.
We’ll explore what you have established so far, what you’d like to accomplish, and how we can best work together to help you achieve your goals.
Our goal is to empower you to live out your mission while reaching the right target audience and building a stellar online presence to support your messaging.
At Change Agency Marketing, we are committed to marketing the change we seek in the world.
As compassionate artists and strategists, we care about the people behind the organizations we help as much as we care about the beautiful work we produce.
We design websites and produce content that supports the success of businesses who aspire to benefit all. In an effort to enhance the experience of all living beings, we believe that it is our responsibility to act with understanding, empathy, and kindness, so that we may all co-exist and thrive.
At Change Agency Marketing, we believe in using our voice for those that are underrepresented or voiceless. We promote positive, mindful messaging and truth, and we seek justice and peace, for all living beings.
We are committed to being:
As a Collective, We’re Local Strategists, Photographers, Videographers & Designers
Change Agency Marketing Marketing Strategist, Copywriter, Web Designer, Photographer
CEO and Founder of Change Agency Marketing and Maria Shayna Photo
As a contracted marketer over the past 10 years (writer, social media manager, web designer, strategist, ad specialist, analyst, photographer, etc.), I’ve come to realize how impactful marketing is for businesses. Without marketing, there is no promotion, sales, or long-term success.
With a degree in communications: media studies and journalism, as well as Spanish, and a minor in art studio, I graduated wanting to change the world as a journalist and more than anything, tell compelling stories. I soon gravitated toward marketing and in 2018 rebranded my freelance title, website, and business name to Change Agency Marketing.
Marketers create the messaging seen, heard, and read by the public, and with that, comes great responsibility.
I believe that in some ways marketers are like superheroes. We create beautiful, moving, persuasive content out of nothing. We mold and blend our work like a chameleon to match each industry’s jargon, audience, and goals. Heck, as ghostwriters, we’re practically invisible.
Corporate responsibility begins with the message companies communicate to their audiences.
So, with or without a cape, I use my creative powers to empower businesses of all scales to reach their target markets and have their mission, voice, and image seen and heard across the sea of global companies.
Our goal is to meet you exactly where you are at and help you reach and exceed your short and long-term goals.
How do we get started, what do the initial steps look like?
We start with a 30 minute to 1 hour consultation, listening consciously and compassionately to understand what it is you’re seeking.
Depending on your establishment, we may send you a questionnaire to help gather some useful data and help us focus our efforts and questions.
We then begin matching services and solutions with your marketing needs or take time to brainstorm and help you establish short and long-term marketing goals, if needed.
Next we agree on which projects take priority and begin delegating tasks and establishing deadlines.
While marketers can create beautiful content out of nothing, we usually thrive best when we’re able to work closely with a representative on your team to ask questions, and when we can glean content from what you already have established or from content you admire and hope to emulate.
Once we have our goals in mind, we’ll establish a contract, payment, and get to work.
What’s your team like?
You can count on us like your marketing friends, the ones you call up for advice, to spit ball ideas, or challenge to come up with something elaborate.
As a team, we are a small but mighty group of creators who are working toward making positive change in the world. We are passionate, patient, and kind and do our best to make each interaction we have with individuals a positive, empowering, and respectful encounter. We are open to feedback, welcome collaboration, and encourage questions.
In short, marketing is defined as “the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising.”
HubSpot defines marketing as “the process of getting people interested in your company’s product or service. This happens through market research, analysis, and understanding your ideal customer’s interests. Marketing pertains to all aspects of a business, including product development, distribution methods, sales, and advertising.”
Change Agency Marketing utilizes Inbound Marketing strategies. Our CEO and Founder, Maria, is Inbound Marketingcertified by HubSpot, utilizing knowledge of best practices for attraction, rather than promotion, for social media marketing, content management, web analytics and search engine optimization.
Inbound Marketing focuses mainly on attraction rather than promotion. By producing quality, free content, and optimizing all of an organization’s platforms and channels, one can attract the right audience to their business and keep them on their site longer, turning cold leads into customers and even brand advocates.
What’s HubSpot? HubSpot is a global developer and marketer of software products for inbound marketing and sales. It was founded by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah in 2006, after the Dot Com Boom. It provides a contrasting perspective to outbound marketing, which utilizes mainly printed content like mailers, flyers, and advertisement to seek business, promoting one’s services and products, rather than offering quality content that brings users to you.
HubSpot has a great FAQ on marketing that goes more into depth, if you’re interested.
Services: Website construction, copy, and design optimized for desktop, mobile, and tablets
Context: Not having a website is a missed opportunity to connect with your audience, establish your reputation and expertise, and expand your reach. Whether you’re selling product(s), service(s), an idea, cause, or yourself (as an artist, musician, promoter, brand, etc), websites, landing pages, and digital presence, is key. A polished online presence establishes your reputation, expands your reach, and provides a platform to tell your story, and reach your intended audience.
Search engine optimization (SEO)
Services: Optimization of content on a website so that it appears in search engine results with the goal of being visible as high up on the front page of search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
Context: It’s used by marketers to attract people who perform searches that imply they’re interested in learning about a particular industry.
Service 1: Writing blog articles on topics your audience may be searching for or that you’d like your brand to be associated with.
Service 2: Creating landing pages and calls to action for free downloadable offers that are pieces of original content that your consumers want because it adds value to their lives somehow. For example: Click here to download my latest guide on how to grow your email list. These offers are often featured on the website, social channels, emails, and at the end of blog posts as calls to action.
Context: Writing blog posts is essential to maximizing free organic search engine optimization. Google will rank websites higher when there is more readable and industry-relevant content on their page. When brands write blogs, it establishes them as experts and nurtures the interest of potential customers who browse the internet for info.
Social media marketing
Service 1Social media management (creation and/or scheduling): scheduling, posting, replying to feedback, data analysis
Service 2: Social media creation: constructing original posts designed specifically for each channel, including content and copywriting
Service 3: Social media optimization: conducting a sweep of all social media channels and adjusting content, description, and scheduling as needed
Service 4: Social media establishment: establishing social channels for brands for the first time; aligning companies with the social channels most relevant to their audience, products, and services; and optimizing the image and descriptions of each channel; as well as the first initial posts.
Context: Social media is the best free tool companies can leverage to build a following. Businesses can use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and similar social networks to create impressions on their audience over time. Social media serves as a visual about us for brands. Some social posts move users through the sales funnel, converting scrollers into customers, but more often, social media portrays the behind the scenes of a brand, their values, and accumulates followers and fans who may help to promote the brand by sharing content on their own social feeds.
Services: Educate and foster relationships with your audience by building your email list and sending quality content to your following, no matter which stage of the sales funnel they’re in.
Context: Utilizing email marketing is an effective way to provide content directly to your following who has already expressed interest in your brand by subscribing. Email marketing can be a great way to inform your following and harness new followers and customers.
Services: Creating written content and design for banners, flyers, posters, mailers, business cards, and more.
Context: As newspapers and magazines get better at understanding who subscribes to their print material, businesses continue to sponsor articles, photography, and similar content in the publications their customers are reading.
Online Advertising (SEM) and (PPC)
Services: Paid advertising design, distribution, optimization, analysis, and A/B testing (trying various forms of the main ad to see which performs best)
Context: This type of marketing is a bit different than SEO, which is described above. SEM stands for search engine marketing and involves PPC or “pay-per-click” advertising on major search engines using Google Adwords and Bing/Yahoo, as well as partners.

Each of our services is highly customizable. Depending on the service, we charge by project, hourly, or by package. Standard projects may serve as a template for your business that can customized to meet your needs. We offer monthly subscriptions as well that vary depending on your company’s size and needs.
Your investment may vary depending on:
which marketing services your brand is seeking
what’s already established and what needs improvement
Depending on the service you’re seeking, we may use a variety of programs. Anything created for you will be handed off to you completely. Design files and final images or documents included.
How do we usually communicate with our clients?
We rely heavily on email, and take advantage of Google Drive to send files, store documents, and collaborate on projects together. We especially love being able to track changes and watch updates in live time. Creating a gmail account is easy and free and is a valuable tool for marketing collaboration and possibly for working with your own clients as well.
For data and analytics, we often use Google sheets, the Google equivalent of a spreadsheet.
We may also use Dropbox or other file sharing services as needed.
What if I don’t know how to use the technology you’re using?
If we are working with technology or software together that you’re unfamiliar with, we’ll teach you. We want to empower you to the best of our abilities to be as informed and capable as possible.
If you create logins or accounts under my name, will I have access to them?
Absolutely. We never create accounts with the intention of selling them to you at a later time. We want you to have full access and control and will create a safe and secure method of storing login and password information for each new account created, or existing account that needs to be logged for future reference.
Do I need to pay for or provide technology or software for you?
Depending on the job, you may need to subscribe to a service, or we may suggest a certain program. We will always make the details as clear as possible before purchasing or committing to a service.
Will you pay for the programs out of pocket and invoice me, or will I have to pay ahead of time?
Once we receive approval to move forward with the implementation of a service or technology, we will ask that you purchase the program on your own, or that you coordinate payment with us in a timely manner.
